CITING sources - to avoid plagiarism

(2 of 7)

You need to cite your sources when you:

  • Quote or use someone else's exact words, phrases or sentences

  • Paraphrase or change someone else's material to put it into your own words or pictures

  • Summarise - condense the main ideas of another source in your own words

  • Use someone else's charts, graphs, illustrations, images, codes, etc.

As Design students, you will use the APA citation style
