Student Final Year Project + Community Service = Assistive Technology
The products designed and constructed by the students have functions ranging from mobility assistance to hearing assistance. Some of the projects highlighted here include a height-adjustable sink, a doorbell for the deaf, visual assistance for the blind, etc. They undoubtedly make life much easier for people with disabilities.
To date, many organizations like the Disabled People's Association of Singapore, the Spastic Children's Association, Alexandra Hospital, Mount Alvernia Hospital and Tan Tock Seng Hospital have benefited from the Engineering students' innovative designs in Assistive Technology.
