Library
News
The library first had
its newsletter in November 1990. Aptly named Library News,
the publication was a single A4 sheet meant for internal
circulation only.
Initial contents included
announcement of new services, opening hours, and new borrowing
policies. Then slowly, as all big things developed, it increased
its "extent" to four pages. There was much experimentation
with formats for readability.
Then
in 1998, Library News was renamed InfoWise, with
a snazzy tagline, "Search smart, not hard".

1998: Library
News was renamed
InfoWise.
|
InfoWise is a four-page,
full-colour commercially printed newsletter that is
distributed to staff, students and external
libraries. The tagline goes
hand-in-hand with the Library's ever-strong zeal to embrace
new technologies and Problem-Based Learning.
Till now, the newsletter serves Library users faithfully
with announcements of policy
changes, new developments in the Library, and more!
Around 1999, InfoWise
went online. Then in July 2002, a new masthead was created
so as to give the publication a more contemporary and streamlined look.
