Focus and CQPD Focus
A newsletter for internal circulation, the publication
was specially created for staff's development.
The first issue of Focus first appeared in August 1991 under the auspices of Education Development and Support Department. It ended its run in December 1996.
In the same year, the department was renamed to Corporate Quality and Professional Development (CQPD). It housed the following four divisions: TQM (Total Quality Management), EDR (Educational Development & Research), Media Services and ELC (Experiential Learning Centre), the last of which was formed in late 1997. There was a further re-structuring of the four divisions.
Subsequently, the first four-colour issue of CQPD Focus emerged (Jan-Feb 1997). A bimonthly publication for both academic and adminstrative staff, the newsletter provides information vital to professional development of staff and provision of quality services in Temasek Polytechnic.
CQPD newsletter stopped publication in early 1998, with the last issue appearing in January-February. The then-Director, Mr Edward Ming also left the Poly around this time.
